June 6 - June 12

June 12, 2009: Trying to get internet connection can sometimes lead to interesting offices. It is bizzaro though that sometimes the Mac connects and the PC won't, in this case, its the opposite, even more bizare!

June 11, 2009: Gorgeous views on the drive from Split to Dubrovnik. We finally made it out of town after retrieving our bikes on a bank holiday, being rear-ended only to be pulled over in Bosnia for driving through a yellow light. But this section of the drive is truly beautiful!

June 10, 2009: At the tire doctor! 3 of 6 tires replaced or fixed in the unit so far...

June 9, 2009: Check out the stark difference between new and old. It was really incredible to see. Many of the houses lack in windows and are made of red cinder blocks. Nothing fancy, just 4 walls, a roof and a few windows. The countryside was gorgeous for riding through while the road was still paved.

June 8, 2009: Where does your path lead?

June 8, 2009: The water was so incredibly clear and the fish liked to swim by the board walk. The fish swam by the board walk to taunt us walking by, saying, "ha ha, we're allowed to swim, but you can't." It was very tempting to just dive in!!!

June 8, 2009: Plitvicka Jezera National Park. 16 different lakes separated by little waterfalls. It was quite beautiful. I think they were originally created when there was an enormous earthquake and down stream the land just dropped creating the different levels.

June 7, 2009: Korana river. Crazy blues, greens and grays!

June 7, 2009: Campgrounds inland Croatia away from computers, phones and work. Trying to get away after a long logistically challenging trip... Too bad there is that constant nagging voice 'don't forget about calling... or emailing or ...'

June 5, 2009: A windy road to Stari Grad. Almost to the home stretch of a long trip.

June 3, 2009: Main land Croatia from my final car ferry to Hvar... I ended up having a much easier time crossing than the guests on the private boat.

May 29, 2009: Gorgeous scenery near Ploce, Croatia.

May 28, 2009: Split, Croatia. Bikes, swim suits, work out clothes, the only thing not pictured here that was characteristic of a good day is a pair of shoes from the dozen or so shoe stores we went in. In Split, there are at least 3 shoes stores in 200m of street!

May 27, 2009: Hvar town, Croatia. Evening in the town square by the port. I loved watching the kids play soccer with pedestrians walking through!

May 27, 2009: Hvar, Croatia. Cendrine pretends to get work done...

May 26, 2009: Interesting door in along to harborside in Hvar town, Croatia. A highlight today: In a jewlery store, I said "Dobar Veca" Croatian for Good Evening, then continued talking in English with Cendrine when the sales lady asked if I spoke Croatian, as from my two words she thought I did! SWEET!!!

May 26, 2009: A tough day at the office! Yes, that little cabana was our office for a few hours... and yes we actually did get work done and you can get a free wireless signal - crazy and awesome at the same time! (you can kind of see Cendrine napping from a hard day )

May 24, 2009: View from my kitchen as I cooked breakfast in Dimitri hotel in Korcula, Croatia. Yes, everyone can see into the apartment from all sides, kitchen, bedrooms, and through the door into the living room. Small towns, gotta love 'em, everyone knows everyone else business!
