May 1, 2009: Platja de Pals after a full day of prep work (a day early!)

April 30, 2009: Ah yes, the season has begun, computers, route guides, maps and highlighters are out!

April 29, 2009: An awesome view as we did a U-turn from missing our turn trying to get to Figueres!

April 28, 2009: Lunch view from the old town of Tossa de Mar. Good thing those 3 jokers were not sitting above us!

April 28, 2009: This one's for you Nicola. I know you'd love this bike. That's Penny in the background!

April 27, 2009: A shepherd and walking his sheep along side our road. It was a much better photo than the one of our rental car with all four windows rolled down this morning - neither Penny, Alan nor I rolled them down since we last drove it. Very mysterious!

April 26, 2009: Another dirt road... But a gorgeous view all around. Too bad I forgot my camera at dinner. Attracted by the hanging lanterns and expecting a hole in the wall restaurant, Penny, Alan and I were quite surprised to have a posh dinner with oysters and fried leaves on twine.

April 26, 2009: We were stopped on the side of the road by the police to allow this bike race to come through. I was really glad to be in the car and not on the road! Spain loves cyclists!

April 25, 2009: And the season begins! We're loaded up with bikes, a trailer, water and a magnum bar, half eaten- ready to pull out and start the season! Costa Brava, here we come!

April 24, 2009: The aftermath of enjoying a delicious apero on a gorgeous evening before we all head in opposite directions tomorrow.

April 23, 2009: Ahhh, the chained up grocery carts at E. Leclerc! Anyone have a euro to free a cart? (Happy Birthday Mom. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!)

April 20, 2009: You might not be able to see this one clearly, let me explain. The foreground is a hybrid bike I was working on, with a computer part mounted to the fork, a wheel spinning and a poor little bat at his resting spot hugging the fork. It was quite a shock to find this bat - especially since the bikes haven't been on the road since October 2008!

April 19, 2009: This is the first of 3 photos for today... I couldn't decide although this is the most 'artistic' shot. The building and I are reflected in the car window while the recycling and Boone are inside Leanne's Renault 5.
